Do you believe in democracy?

About us

We would like you to hear our voice; this is the voice of Kuwait. We are a group of Kuwaiti men and women united in our desire to work for the advancement of our country and the protection of our constitution and democratic system. We are announcing today the birth of Sout AL-Kuwait, a group that represents the voice of the silent majority that is in favor of the democratic dialogue but has no available channel to voice their opinions.

Our group was founded upon the alarming sense of guardianship that many men and women are becoming aware of as in the attempts of some parliament members to control the citizens of this country and violate their constitutional rights particularly the right to choose their children’s education. This has been apparent in the many voices that were raised recently demanding segregation of all school-systems in Kuwait, a procedure that violates the most basic rights of citizenship and of parents in choosing their own children’s upbringing.

Sout Al-Kuwait groups many voices in the love of our country. Our main goal is to locate our constitutional rights and highlight the concept of personal freedom as a major pole of our constitution, all done through opening doors for free dialogue. We are here to raise our voices in reinforcing the fact that our constitution is the base of our discussion and that our constitutional freedoms are not subject for resignation, for resigning our constitutional rights and freedoms is in consequence resigning everything that is authentic about us as Kuwaitis.

We are here upon calling the sons and daughters of Kuwait to liberate their voices in love of the country and in respect of its constitution and democratic pursuit, hoping that these voices will find an open channel through our group.
